Final Project - Presentation

Hello Ladies,

Today I will introduce you to your final project. It will be worth 200 points and will be due on November 29th. As with all the other assignments I will grade this presentation then I will give you until December 5th to make changes for an improved grade.

Your project will collect all that your learned this semester into one presentation. It should answer these questions:
  1. What different Web 2.0 technologies did you learn about this semester?
  2. Which were the most helpful in your English learning?
  3. Which ones will you continue to use in the future?
  4. What is your plan for continuing to practice English?

This should be a complete online only presentation and the link should be posted on your blog. I will grade on completeness of thought, grammar and look of your presentation.

Here are the steps:
  1. Go to this link and answer these questions in a post titled Presentations (there are some missing videos, but if you Google the information given at the bottom of the missing video you should be able to find it): How to do "good" presentations
  • What are some elements you can add to make your presentation engaging?
  • What makes an introduction interesting?
  • How do you make your main message engaging?
  • What are the steps you take if you are giving a presentation in front of an audience?
      2. Choose one of the presentation tools given here. You may need to create an account and if you
need help learning that presentation tool then there is usually a help section, or you can Google           tutorials for that tool.   Web 2.0: Cools Tools for Schools

     3. Create your presentation and post it to your blog titled: CALL Presentation

Good luck and I am here to answer questions.

Review

Hi Ladies,

Today we will go back and look at some of the things we have learned about so far and read your classmates blogs.

  1. First, go back and look at your RSS Reader and post a short summary of how it's different titled Review. Look at how many articles are new and summarize three of them with a few sentences.
  2. Go to your classmate's blogs -- they are posted on our main page on the left.
  3. Look at their posts and make comments on two lessons of theirs that you enjoyed the most doing yourself. You will want to go to the links they posted and submit thoughtful comments on their posts.
  4. Next go your subscription on YouTube.com and look to see if there are new videos. Make a note of which subscriptions have new videos.
